Work done:

Prime scree entry: big block that hindered the transition to finish his "long career block intruder. It goes up, the bag on the back! It remains to check the stability of the small
blade located above the passage, and at worst to drop.

We will have to tighten the strings of Insurance, located in the former second fixed scale. It is obvious that the big block below has ripped into the void, of about twenty centimeters. It is fantastic to go almost everywhere, with the backpack.

We worked mostly in the Hall of shale, then we pushed a little edge to the foot of the climb to the volcano, by performing some work.

Ascent room Shale: we put the new rope, which used to pass from the bottom of the gallery, until the flap to access the room Shale. It was time, because the old equipment is worthy of the "museum" of the cave. Thank you to him for his loyal service, but it was time! It will now remove the old equipment, with brown rope, it was impossible, because the quick links are rusty (hacksaw?).

Entry to the hall of Shale: Denis and placed an iron Atik U at the last climb to reach the Hall of shale. To climb, the work is perfect, perfectly positioned and functional, with the natural roughness of the cavity. For the descent, we must stick to walls, it slips quite a lot today, and I do not know how it will in a few outings, with the accumulation of clay. I think it will add a new iron for the descent. We see it locally with Denis at the next exit. Between this little climb and the flap (the exit), the beacons are placed pickets, but not yet over.

Tagging room Shale: we removed and then rebuilt a new lighting in the room Shale. It changes a lot! We have also set up a small platform 3 meters long and 40 cm wide, to see the frost of aragonite at the bottom of the room, much to the delight of photographers, and safety of crystals.

Down the hall toward the flap downstream Shale: beautiful work of Denis and Atik, last week. It will shortly be completed, because there have been slips in the ascent (descent is often on the buttocks).

Gallery after the flap up to the room of Sand: we have done nothing in this gallery, except the installation of two U section, the passage of white drapery (Request made by Suzanne). There is no hesitation the next time to add a third on top, because it lacks a course, and we are obliged to continue to cling to concretions, which were white, what we want avoid at all costs.

Hall Sand: we have made steps in the clay, the clay slope downhill. It is now very comfortable. It will do all the markup. Down the hall Sable must develop a tricky and slippery on 2 meters. It took several holding hands (to do with Denis).

Bunch of grapes: we did not time to fix the scope is wide, two weeks ago by Veronique, Alan and Silvia (she is well placed), and we added two U-irons on the ice that can reach the gallery from above, below grapes.

Crossroads "Volcanoes - Zoubida" we will see later development.

Talus clay to the Tea Room: we have made steps in the most clayey slope, located to the Volcanoes. We least feel like skating sometimes "non-artistic"!.

ascent last calcitic glaze toward the salon Th e : I had this glaze immaculate and crossed into sock. I found a rink dangerous despite the rope ... Sad. This was one of my latest beautiful falls in January 2010 (I was not the only one!). We asked four U-irons, it takes 7 total. We must also rebuild the mooring rope at the top of the glaze.

Throughout this journey, I could see the need to redo 90% markup, which is badly placed, badly done, stakes too big, too over, torn etc. ... without forgetting the barrier tape that is in a catastrophic state (it has fulfilled its role and requires a well-deserved retirement). There will be a few days of happiness, to work in these galleries just as beautiful, with a few km from son and pickets to ask.

The whole group, despite the numbers, worked very well, and good atmosphere did not stop to do a very good job. Note, in the Hall of shale, a meal worthy of the heyday of SCMNE: friendliness, humor and sharing. A highlight of caving, as we had not seen in years. A remake!

I did not do all this work, with so many people not trained in protection work. It was a special day at all levels. Our Rotary recruits are really very good, efficient and full of good humor and friendliness. Some members

are offered to give us a hand, at the request according to our requirements or our urgent needs. It is with great pleasure that I say yes. They are all capable of helping us come now to the bottom of Roquebleu. I also proposed an output initiation Trayolle to learn to use all the "utensils" of the cave.

Our Rotary friends propose to organize a trip initiation Ponderach with Castres Rotarians who are interested, for some, by the caving. An exit Pondarach is to program in early 2011. This may give us a good core group, knowing that in Toulouse, there is also requests from people planning to make the cave.

SCMNE Photos - Rotary thank you Jean Pierre
